Downtown Street Style

Exploring the city is one of my favorite things to do. Museums, Cafés, Shops, anything that entertains me, I’m in for. Today I walked from Midtown ATL, to Downtown. Breathing the city’s air makes me feel alive. Watching the cars go by, traffic lights, sounds, the train passing through the rail road tracks, is like an orchestra playing to my ears. I love the whole vibe of city fashion: dressing up, mixing trends, watching what other people are wearing and incorporating it into my style. To me, there are a world of possibilities and creativity is at its best. I get inspired by everything the city has to offer. This is the look I put together to navigate the delightful city of Atlanta: Denim jacket by Levi’s, top and pants by forever 21, Dr. Martens shoes which I’m basically in love with; they make me feel powerful and tough! I wore a black beanie hat to give the whole look a gangster vibe. I loved this whole outfit. Xx.

White on Snow!

Everything seem much calmer after the chaos that three inches if snow caused here in Atlanta. After the storm we get a calmer feeling, and it’s beautiful outside. I’m loving the weather. Sunny snowy day. What else can you ask for? In these particular days I love to dress like nature. Pure white. I’m wearing my fave pair of Joe’s cropped pants, Gap top, Dolce Vita booties, H&M beanie hat, William Ras sunnies in white and tortoiseshell, and a Mochila made by our Colombian indigenous called Arhuacos. The Arhuacos are an Ameriindian ethnic group of La Sierra Nevada in northern Colombia. They are extremely talented artisans and they do from Mochilas to hammocks and jewelry. They are our treasure. Enjoy the snow and the beautiful view. Xx.

Snowing in Atlanta!

No one was expecting three or more inches of snow and that for sure caused a lot of chaos. People had to abandon their cars and walk miles and miles to get home or to get to the Nearest shelter. The southern capital of Atlanta collapsed. I have never seen something like this. A whole city paralyzed, captured by the inclement weather. It was a wake up call for me to learn to be more prepared to this kind of emergency situations. Luckily I made it home and I had the opportunity to enjoy the weather. It was very pretty. The roofs covered in this white carpet and the trees dipped in the melting snow. I was happy to see the snow but it was also bitter sweet because I had some of my family and friends stranded in the inclement weather. Trapped with no food or gas. Hopefully the city of Atlanta would be better prepared for next years. And our fellows from the north can have also a bit more compassion because it was no joke what happened here. Hopefully everyone is safe and we all learn from this experience!!!

NY Street Style

New York City has it all. From super chic and expensive fashion like Hermes, to cool and cheap jewelry in lower Manhattan and the beginning of Soho. Street walkers rocking their trendy and not so trendy outfits, from see-thru leggins to theater and street performances. NYC is a Metropolis full of contrasts and fashion statements. Already you can see that spring fashion is around the corner with window views of colored clothes in yellows, blues and pinks. remember NY is one step ahead of you and it has the latest of the latest in terms of fashion. Not to mention that NYFW is around the corner. I really enjoyed my time here, exploring what this fab city has to offer. I wore simple outfits because I knew I was going to walk for long periods of time, so I decided to wear a pair of white canvas TOMS, some black leggins from Mossimo, a denim shirt from H&M and it was pretty chilly so I bought a leopard scarf in the street for 10 bucks. I combined my outfit with and a lovely, acid pair of my fave Raybans. And also some heart-shaped sunnies. This trip was for sure a trip to remember and I hope to be back very soon. Enjoy the colors, the contrast and the fashion!Xx.

Wide Brim Hat & Checker Pattern Dress!

After waiting for almost three weeks to get my wide brim wool hat on the mail, I was really exited to finally wear it! It is the most gorgeous hat ever, 100% wool felt and crushable so it will last forever. I can fold it and pack it up in a suitcase, and the hat will conserve its normal mold. This amazing hat is from Dorfman Pacific Company, and this handmade hats have been made since 1921 here in the U.S.A. I really wanted a hat for so long but I could never find one that fitted perfectly and that I really loved. did I forgot to mention that is water repellent? This hat virtually laughs at the rain!
I also wore a cute little checker pattern dress from UO, tights from Madden Girl and some high heel booties from Gianni Bini. I love the SUNNY winter days, enjoy! Xx.

Pastels & Denim

I love to wear colorful clothes. specially in the winter to feel more alive. I think is really nice to give a pop of color to these cold days. A pop of color will do exactly that, without being too flashy. Specially in the winter where everybody likes to wear black and white. I wore some corduroy Joe’s Jeans in mint pastel color, a long sleeve shirt from H&M, suede Dolce Vita booties and my fave turquoise beanie hat.

Flower Bound!

This skirt romper from UO I gotta love! Very light fabric and soft, with a gorgeous vintage flower print, perfect to light up these winter days. Super breezy and sexy. Combined with my favorite and must have chained booties from Forever21. Underneath the floral romper, I wore a basic black top form forever21.
I like to add color to the winter by wearing my Russian red lipstick from MAC. Added a Swarovski crystal pendant from Oliver Weber, amethyst ring and my fave silver and mother of pearl bracelet to complete the whole look.

Channeling My Inner American Woman!

Even though I was born in The United States, I was raised in South America, Colombia. So, I was brought up with a mixture of cultures. Now that I am back in the States, I am channeling my inner American woman, and loving it!!!
For this look I was going for a sexy Biker babe. Rocking some vintage lace print leggins, a simple black top from Forever21, and leather jacket by Harley Davidson, the emblematic American brand.
Even though my make up was simple, I rocked some burgundy lips perfect for autumn (mac lipstick). Do you love it or not so much? xx.

Santa is Coming to Town!

For the past few days I have stuck in my head the popular christmas carol: Santa Clause Is Coming To Town! The funny part about it, is that I don’t even know the lyrics of the song, and I keep singing it and adding different words that doesn’t make any sense. Of course it is because where  I grew up, Santa is not coming to town nor does he exist!!! But I love the song so much, that I just keep singing it my way: “You better watch out, you better watch out, Santa is coming to town” lol lol lol…..  This is my holiday outfit inspired on Santa! I hope you guys LikeIt and LoveIt and merry christmas to all of my dear readers. xx.

I am wearing a cropped top from Wet Seal, a vintage flared skirt and vintage leather boots from Menin Italy.

Mixing Trends

Now days is all about Mixing Trends. Mixing 80’s with 90’s, different patterns, colors, styles and traditions, from east to west and so forth. This look captures exactly that. Vibrant colors, harem pants in a very funky print, cropped jacket in black, and sandals to add edge to the look.
Harem, or yoga pants are very tricky to wear, and they are not everybody’s cup of tea. Harem, or ‘drop-crotch’ pants have been loitering on fashion’s radar for a few years now in various guises. From combat style, to tracksuit bottoms, funky like mine, to more trad. I gotta love them!
Do you see yourself pulling them off? xx.

My harem pants are from Vitamin C, Black Cropped Jacket from Forever21, Top from Delias, and Calvin Klein Vivian Sandals in blush color.

A Secret Garden!

I remember a story that caught my heart when I was a little girl, it was the novel by English author Frances Hodgson Burnett. A classic story for children that never went away in my mind. I felt it was a very emotional story, and I felt a deep connection with Mary Lennox, the girl of the story.

I found my own secret garden, a beautiful place…..

…What was this under her hands which was square and made of iron and which her finger found a hole in?

It was the lock of the door which had been closed ten years and she put her hand in her pocket, drew out the key and found it fitted the keyhole. She put the key in and turned it. It took two hands to turn it, but it did turn. And then she took a long breath and looked behind her up the long walk to see if anyone was coming. No one was coming. No one ever did it seemed, and she took another long breath, because she could not help it, and she held back the swinging curtain of ivy and pushed back the door that opened slowly – slowly. Then she slipped through it, and shut it behind her, and stood with her back against it, looking about her and breathing quite fast with excitement, and wonder, and delight.

She was standing inside the secret garden.[1]

— From author Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden (1911)

An Urban Outfitters foxy sweatshirt. Foxes are like my favorite animal ever. White jeans from Joe’s, white purse by Ivanka Trump, and shoes by Vince Camuto. Join me thru this lovely walk!

Fall with style

I went to the mountains to catch a glimpse of the wonderful colors that the trees in Georgia have to offer, it was indeed a colorful view . Different shades of reds, yellows, oranges, browns and greens. I was amazed by the beauty of this place, the mountains give a sense of calmness and the freshest air ever.
When I go to places like the country and the mountains I like to look my best but also being comfortable for me is very important, so I decided to go with my skinny jeans from Zara, Topshop knitted sweater in yellow and navy blue pattern, a vintage jacket from Etcetera, chained booties from Forever 21  and some Lennon inspired sunnies that I absolutely adore! These days I am into lots of black and blue in all shades.
